The customer contacted our professional rug care facility to request a deep-cleansing restoration for two residential area rugs that had accumulated substantial surface soils and airborne dust from routine home use. The first rug, a solid grey minimalist piece, was showing significant matting and pile distortion across its surface, whilst the second piece, a contemporary flat-woven rug with a blue geometric diamond pattern, exhibited dulled colour tones, general traffic grime, and tangled, uneven white decorative fringes. Both textiles required an industrial-grade cleaning and grooming process to extract embedded particulates, refresh the individual fibre matrices, and return the rugs to a clean, hygienic condition for the home environment.
To safely lift the heavy soils and completely revitalise both residential textiles, our team executed a customised, multi-stage in-plant cleaning and fringe-detailing protocol, starting with an extensive mechanical dry-soil dusting to vibrate and flush out deep-seated gritty particles from the backing structures before adding any moisture. Both rugs then underwent a controlled submersion wash utilizing low-pH, fibre-safe shampoos and specialised counter-rotational brushes, which safely suspended surface traffic grime and opened up the matted, distorted nap without altering the structural integrity of the flat-weave or the solid pile. After a comprehensive high-volume, low-pressure sub-surface rinse completely removed all loosened residues, our technicians hand-detailed the second rug's perimeter—untangling and grooming the unraveled fringes back to a clean, uniform baseline—before transferring both pieces to our climate-controlled drying tower to be hand-groomed for a plush, soft, and completely refreshed finish.
