The customer contacted our professional rug care facility to address severe traffic soiling and extensive pet contamination affecting two distinct residential carpets: a cream geometric Greek-key sculpted area rug and a thick, high-pile white shag rug. The sculpted geometric rug had developed deep tracking lanes of moderate-to-heavy soil that dulled its creamy palette, combined with structural damage requiring specialised repairs, sun-faded profiles, and direct pet liquid accidents that left behind stubborn stains and deep-set organic odours. Similarly, the high-pile shag rug suffered from compressed traffic matting, heavy particle accumulation within its long fibres, localized fading, and significant pet stains and odour saturation, creating an immediate need for an aggressive, in-plant sanitisation and pile-lifting treatment.

To safely eliminate the contaminants and restore the luxurious texture of both pieces, our team executed a customised, deep-immersion cleaning and odour-neutralisation protocol, beginning with an intensive mechanical dry-soil dusting to vibrate and flush out deep-seated gritty particles from the backing matrices before introducing any fluid. Both textiles were then treated with specialized, enzyme-rich pre-sanitisers to completely dissolve crystallized pet urine salts and neutralise subsurface biological odours at their source. Next, the rugs underwent a thorough immersion bath using low-pH, fibre-safe shampoos and counter-rotational brushes, which safely suspended the bound soils and lifted the matted shag pile and sculpted contours. After a comprehensive high-volume, low-pressure sub-surface flush completely rinsed away all loosened residues, our technicians executed the necessary structural repairs on the geometric rug's perimeter before transferring both pieces to our climate-controlled drying tower to be hand-groomed for a beautifully restored, clean, and plush finish.
