The customer brought in their 6'7" x 9'6" contemporary abstract area rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, stain removal, and edge restoration. The rug had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded traffic soil, pile and nap distortion across the main field, dull and faded areas, frayed serged binding edges, and pet stains and odours requiring deep fibre decontamination.

We provided a comprehensive rug washing, fibre decontamination, and textile grooming process. Our technicians first completed harmonic mechanical dusting to remove dry particulate soil and abrasive grit from deep within the backing. We submerged the rug in a specialised wash pit using gentle, pH-balanced cleaning solutions and applied targeted enzyme treatments to break down pet stains and neutralise embedded organic odours. Technicians then trimmed and repaired the frayed serged edges, groomed the pile to correct nap distortion, and dried the rug flat in a temperature- and humidity-controlled drying room to revive its textured pattern and colours.
