The customer brought in their floral wool area rug for specialist deep cleaning, pet decontamination, and side serging repair. The rug exhibited heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil, noticeable nap and pile distortion across high-traffic areas, faded colour tones, and biological pet staining accompanied by persistent odours, along with frayed and unravelled edge serging along the borders (no fringe design).

We provided an extensive multi-step in-plant rug washing, decontamination, and textile repair treatment. Our technicians began with harmonic dust extraction on both the face and backing to release deeply embedded particulate matter. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using gentle, pH-neutral wool detergents, followed by an intensive enzyme decontamination bath to completely neutralise pet urine salts, stains, and organic odours. Our repair artisans then secured and reinforced the frayed side serging along the perimeter edges to prevent future edge wear. Finally, we groomed the pile to correct nap distortion and transferred the rug to our temperature-controlled dry room to restore fibre softness and vibrancy.
