The customer brought in their Safavieh traditional runner rug for specialist deep washing, pet odour decontamination, and structural textile repair. The runner had sustained heavy-to-moderate embedded traffic soil, noticeable nap distortion along the walking path, dull and faded colour zones, pulled surface fibres, and localized pet staining with lingering odours, alongside torn areas and holes requiring re-weaving and foundation stabilisation (no fringe design).

We carried out an extensive multi-step in-plant rug washing, decontamination, and repair treatment. Our technicians began with harmonic dust extraction across both the face fibres and canvas-bound backing to dislodge dry abrasive grit. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using gentle, pH-balanced wool detergents, accompanied by an enzyme bath to neutralise pet urine salts, biological stains, and organic odours. Our repair specialists then reinforced the foundation, mending the torn holes and securing pulled fibres to halt further unraveling. Finally, we groomed the pile to correct nap distortion and dried the runner in a climate-controlled drying room to revive its rich tones and soft texture.
