The customer brought in their traditional red oriental wool area rug for professional in-plant cleaning, deep washing, and pet odour decontamination. The rug had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil, localized nap distortion, pet staining with persistent odours, uneven and unravelled end fringes, and preexisting structural wear with small torn areas/holes.

We provided a comprehensive, low-moisture-safe in-plant rug washing and decontamination treatment tailored to preserve the delicate foundation. Our specialists began with gentle harmonic dusting to vibrate and lift dry abrasive soil without stressing existing tear areas. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using gentle, pH-balanced wool shampoos, followed by an enzymatic soak to neutralize pet stains and organic odours. Technicians carefully aligned and hand-rinsed the cotton fringes, groomed the pile to correct nap distortion, and dried the rug flat in a temperature-controlled dry room to restore fibre softness and vibrant colours safely.
