The customer brought in their traditional tribal geometric runner rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, fibre rejuvenation, and detailed textile restoration. The runner had sustained heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil, localized nap distortion, distinct furniture indentation marks, pulled surface fibres, visible foundation white knots popping through the pile, and biological pet stains with lingering odours, along with uneven and unravelled fringe tassels along the end borders.
We provided a comprehensive multi-step in-plant hand-washing, decontamination, and textile grooming treatment. Our specialists began with front-and-back harmonic dusting to dislodge dry abrasive grit settled deep within the wool pile and warp foundation. We submerged and hand-washed the runner using gentle, pH-balanced wool detergents, followed by an enzymatic immersion bath to break down pet urine salts and neutralise organic odours completely. Our technicians carefully trimmed and secured pulled fibres, addressed exposed white knots to blend seamlessly with the surrounding pile, steamed compressed areas to lift furniture depressions, and hand-cleaned and secured the unravelled fringes. Finally, we groomed the pile to correct nap distortion and dried the runner in a temperature-controlled dry room to restore fibre resilience and rich colour vibrancy.
