The customer brought in their plush grey shag area rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, pile rejuvenation, and pet odour decontamination. The deep-pile rug had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil within the thick fibres, noticeable furniture indentation marks from heavy room placement, faded and discoloured areas across the main walking field, and biological pet staining accompanied by lingering odours

We provided a comprehensive multi-step in-plant washing, pile lifting, and textile decontamination treatment. Our technicians began with deep harmonic dusting to vibrate and release heavy dry particulate matter trapped deep within the shag pile and backing. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using gentle, pH-balanced cleaning solutions, followed by an intensive enzyme decontamination soak to break down pet urine salts and neutralise organic odours at the root. Technicians then utilised specialised steam pile-lifting techniques to restore crushed fibres and eliminate furniture depressions. Finally, we hand-groomed the thick pile and dried the rug in a temperature-controlled drying room to restore fibre fluffiness, softness, and uniform colour.
