The customer brought in their vintage-distressed oriental-style area rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, colour reviving, and pet odour decontamination. The rug had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil, severe nap and pile distortion across traffic areas, uneven fading, and biological pet staining accompanied by persistent odours.

We provided a comprehensive multi-step in-plant hand-washing, decontamination, and textile grooming treatment. Our specialists began with front-and-back harmonic dusting to dislodge dry abrasive grit settled deep within the pile and foundation. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using gentle, pH-balanced detergents, followed by an enzymatic immersion bath to break down pet urine salts and neutralise organic odours at the molecular level. Technicians then groomed the pile direction to resolve heavy nap distortion and dried the rug flat in a temperature-controlled drying room to restore fibre softness, pile texture, and rich tonal definition.
