The customer brought in their modern grid-patterned area rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, deep decontamination, and odour neutralisation. The rug had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded dry soil, yellowish smoke and nicotine film deposits across the pile fibres, and biological pet stains accompanied by stubborn, lingering odours.

We provided an intensive multi-step in-plant rug washing, degreasing, and thermal decontamination treatment. Our specialists began with harmonic dry dusting to dislodge dry abrasive particulate matter from deep within the foundation. We submerged and hand-washed the rug using specialised surfactant solutions designed to break down tacky smoke and nicotine residues, followed by an enzymatic immersion bath to neutralise pet urine salts and organic odours at the root. Technicians thoroughly rinsed the fibres with clear water, groomed the pile for uniform alignment, and dried the rug flat in our climate-controlled drying room to restore fibre freshness, pile softness, and clean tonal clarity.
