Job completed for Patricia S

Completion date: July 24, 2026

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer brought in their traditional pastel wool runner rug for specialist in-plant cleaning, gum removal, and detailed textile grooming. The runner had accumulated heavy-to-moderate embedded traffic soil across its lavender field, hardened chewing gum adhered to the wool pile, nap and pile distortion along walking lanes, pulled surface fibres, visible foundation white knots popping through the pile face, and uneven, unravelled end fringes.

Solutions provided:

We provided a comprehensive multi-step in-plant hand-washing, spot remediation, and textile grooming treatment. Our specialists began with front-and-back harmonic dusting to agitate and extract deeply embedded dry grit from the foundation. We applied a specialised cryogenic freezing solvent to safely harden and extract the chewing gum without tearing the delicate wool fibres. The runner was then submerged and hand-washed using gentle, pH-balanced wool shampoos. Our technicians carefully trimmed and secured pulled fibres, dressed exposed white knots to blend naturally into the pile, aligned and detailed the unravelled cotton fringes, and groomed the nap direction. Finally, the runner was dried flat in a temperature-controlled dry room to restore its soft texture and pastel hues.
